The mission of the Adventure Travel Conservation Fund (ATCF) is to: Directly fund local projects engaged in the conservation of unique natural and cultural resources of adventure travel destinations. The ATCF is a non-profit that will provide funding, connections and an international spotlight on projects that protect the cultural and natural resources which underpin the adventure tourism industry.

Where will projects be funded?

ATCF will primarily focus on providing funding to organizations and projects outside of the United States and Canada. Currently, the Outdoor Industry Conservation Alliance and the European Outdoor Conservation Association, already exist to effectively serve a similar mission for projects within the United States and Europe. Rather than compete in these areas with established organizations, ATCF sees a stronger opportunity in partnering with them to deliver a positive global impact.

What types of organizations will be funded?

Both nonprofit and for-profit organizations will have the opportunity to receive project funding from ATCF. Types of organizations may include conservation groups, indigenous people groups, tour operators, accommodations and other non-profits.

The ATCF is always looking for good people who share our passion for travel and conservation. Please fill our our Volunteer Opportunities Form if you're interested in joining our team.

The adventure travel community has already shown how it can collaborate and make positive change in the world. I’m thrilled this new fund is taking our collective power to the next level — to have an organization for all of us that can be a powerful platform for conserving and protecting the best places on the planet in collaboration with the locals who live there.”
