Barbara Banks Vision Fund

To honor Barbara's legacy of beauty, grace, and love for our planet the Banks-Altekruse family has joined forces with the Adventure Travel Conservation Fund. The funds raised will support global grassroots conservation projects, with a portion dedicated to emergency post-pandemic capacity building.

In her final years at Wilderness Travel, Barbara discovered a part of trip development that brought a new level of passion and purpose to her work and life: the idea that travel could mutually benefit tourists and the communities they visit. In other words, that travel and world travelers could be catalysts for positive, sustained change, locally and globally.
