HOW TO BID IN THE AUCTION

Enter the live auction

Bidding is open through October 20 at 6:00 PM PT. Click "Bid Now" to head to the auction on BetterWorld and get started.

1

Browse & bid

Scroll or filter by category to find trips, gear, and experiences you're interested in, then tap into any item to see full details and photos and enter your bid. Your card is saved securely when you place a bid, but you're never charged unless you win.

2

Set a max bid (optional)

Enter the highest amount you're willing to pay, and the system will automatically bid for you in the auction's preset increments whenever someone outbids you. It's a great way to stay in the running while you're away.

3

Keep an eye on your bids

BetterWorld will email you if you're outbid, plus reminders 48 and 12 hours before bidding closes. For text alerts, add your phone number and check the box to receive text messages when you place your first bid. Notifications don't always make it through, though, so we recommend checking your My Bids page regularly and keeping a close eye on your items in the final hours on October 20. It's also worth checking your spam or promotions folder for anything from BetterWorld.

4

Win and get connected

If you win, you'll get a confirmation email and your card will be charged. Our team will personally reach out within a couple of days to connect you with the donor and get your trip or item on the books.

Ready to Bid? Frequently Asked Questions

"We just got back from our Ireland adventure with Vagabond Tours, and honestly—it was pure magic. We rode horses through the countryside, hiked to waterfalls, and even learned how sheepdogs do their thing (spoiler: they’re amazing). Yes, we kissed the Blarney Stone too!

One of the best parts? Knowing that our trip helped support the Adventure Travel Conservation Fund. It felt good to be part of something that gives back while we were out there exploring. We came home tired, happy, a little muddy—and really grateful for the whole experience."

“Contributing one of our small-group tour experiences to this auction is an effective way for Vagabond & Driftwood Tours to give something back to nature, which is ultimately what our industry relies upon. Our values match those of the ACTF, so it was a simple decision. Dealing with everyone at the ACTF is a pleasure each year and we are delighted to welcome the winning bidders to Ireland.”
